The Artificial Intelligence for Public Health (AI4PH) Summer Institute will be held at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 2025. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to expand their skills and knowledge related to the application of AI innovations in public health research and practice while exploring the potential impact of AI technologies on the widening or narrowing of health inequities.
This year’s theme is “Synthetic Data and Federated Learning to Preserve Privacy and Address Inequities in Electronic Health Data”, with methods and examples organized around this topic.

No, unfortunately you need to be resident in Canada with a valid visa or citizenship.

Unfortunately there is no travel support available, unless you applied for the CIHR Travel award before the January 7 deadline.
We accept applications from post-docs and early career researchers, as well as PhD students. Medical residents are also eligible, however, will need to have some demonstrated interest in research and programming skills, to be competitive. Applicants must be affiliated with a Canadian institution (e.g., university, college, health institute or agency).
